Music2Grow for Babies (0-1 years)

Join us for a new unit of Kindermusik Cuddle & Bounce commencing 24th January!

Kindermusik Cuddle & Bounce is a rich community experience of sharing and learning for you and your baby (newborn – 13 months) with emphasis placed on sensory exploration, beat, rhythm, movement, listening and bonding.  Our Term 1 Unit Themes Little Red Caboose and Busy Days invite you and your baby to engage in rituals and playful activities such as infant massage, lap bounces, exercises and quiet time around the themes of trains and daily routines and rituals – you will chug around the room to “Little Red Caboose”, hold on tight while “Riding in the Buggy”, dance, twirl and dip to “Pretty Baby” and “Love Somebody”, find many ways to go to the “Corner Grocery Store” as you support your baby’s developing proprioceptive and vestibular systems and enjoy quiet time as you rock and cuddle together to “Sing Your Way Home”.

You’ll also explore a huge range of baby safe instruments including chime balls, scarves and baby bells and listen and move to a diverse collection of music including songs from the UK, Israel, Brazil, the USA (an African American Spiritual and music from the Southern Appalachian Mountains) and classical music such as Handel’s Water Music Suite, No.1: Air, and J.S. Bach’s Orchestral Suite No.3, in D Major, BWV 1068: II Air as well as traditional nursery rhymes.

Did you know? Musical diversity builds strong neural connections in your baby’s forming mind. Babies who participate in interactive music classes with their parents smile more, communicate better, are easier to soothe and show earlier and more sophisticated brain responses to music.

Classes commence on Tuesday 24th January at Cooroy Library and Friday 3rd February in Buderim. See class fees and inclusions. ENROL NOW

“The time I spend with my son in class each week is invaluable time spent one-on-one enjoying a playful and relaxed adventure in musical discover together. It also provides my son Oliver with an opportunity to experience new ways of interacting in a group situation both with adults and with other children present.” –  Jacasta B., Cuddle & Bounce parent.
