Registration Policy

Register Early

Although you may join classes at any time, please register early as class sizes are limited and some fill quickly. Registering at least 3 weeks before term begins for Level 5 (Young Child 5-7 years) also ensures that your At Home Materials will be available for collection at your first class. If you enrol after the term begins, tuition can be pro-rated accordingly. NB an additional shipping fee may be payable for Level 5 classes when enrolling after the semester start date.

Enrolment Confirmation

A completed online registration form and non-refundable deposit must be received before enrolment can be confirmed. You will receive confirmation of enrolment by email within 48 hours. In the event that the class you have chosen is not available, we will contact you to discuss alternatives. Fees can be paid by direct deposit/EFT. A payment plan can also be arranged if required – please ask for details.

Twin, Triplet and Second Child Discounts

A discount is available for twins, triplets and children from the same family in the SAME class. Please contact us for a quote to suit your particular circumstances.

Cancellations & Refunds

Enrolment is by the term and your enrolment deposit and term fees are non-refundable. Tuition credit towards future classes may occasionally be given in the event of extenuating circumstances that require withdrawal from class. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and will be considered on an individual basis. A minimum $50 cancellation fee will apply.

Illness & Make-up Classes

If you or your child is unwell, please stay at home. It is imperative not to bring to class any illness that may affect the entire group. Please notify me of your absence by email, call or text message as early as practical and request a make-up class. Where possible, you may book in for a make-up class in an existing class. In the event of teacher illness, a make-up class will be scheduled at a suitable time. I will notify you of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up date. Choosing a Class

The age recommendations for the Kindermusik programs have been carefully designed to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way. Therefore it is important that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the term in which you are enrolling. Please note that the upper age ranges are guidelines only and I am happy to discuss your child’s individual needs and work with you to place them in the class best suited for them.

Non-enrolled Siblings

Due to class size limits and the delicate nature of our baby and toddler class setting, non-enrolled siblings are not permitted in our Kindermusik classroom. Exceptions can sometimes be made in an emergency, however you must contact me as early as is practical to check availability. Baby siblings or siblings enrolled in another class can accompany you provided their attendance does not exceed class size limits. Please contact me in advance to check if your chosen class can accommodate an enrolled sibling or baby sibling.

Public Holidays and Pupil Free Days

Our Kindermusik classes generally follow the QLD school terms, Foundations – Level 4 run as an 8 or 9 week term and Level 5 classes run as a semester class over two school terms. Classes will run on Pupil Free Days unless otherwise notified. Classes are NOT held on public holidays or during school term holidays.

Shut Down and Reopen Plan

Music2Grow is operating under a COVID Safe (WHS) management plan. Should we be required to cease in-person classes at any time during the term, we will endeavour to re-schedule classes to a suitable later date. In the event that this is not possible or a shut-down is prolonged, any remaining Kindermusik classes will be conducted online.

Making the Most of Your Kindermusik Class

Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled class time, wash your hands and remove your shoes. Wait for your educator to invite you in. Don’t worry if you are late, please join us quietly.

No Food. Our Kindermusik classroom is a FOOD FREE ZONE. We request that food, drinks, toys and dummies be kept out of sight and that snacks be finished prior to class. If your child needs to eat during a lesson, please exit the classroom quietly and return as soon as you can.

Enjoy the Experience! Be sure to dress comfortably and plan to participate. During class, the most important thing that you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role-model. It is not uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable. Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home rather than in a certain level of participation in class. The understanding and consistency of the caregiver in class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning and growth.

Together Time. Kindermusik classes provide the opportunity for both social interaction and focused one-on-one time with your child. When you are an active, focused and enthusiastic participant in class activities, your child will model your actions and focus more fully too.

Kindermusik at Home. You and your child will benefit enormously from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your Online Resources via the Kindermusik App. Frequent reinforcement at home through the week makes all the difference to your child’s comfort and participation in the classroom.

Conscious Parenting

Like all of us, children can occasionally have a challenging day. If your child is visibly upset or unsettled (crying, screaming, running – it happens to all of us), please take a moment to reconnect with them or step outside the classroom to give yourselves a chance to regroup or calm down. Do come back in as soon as you can.

Mobile Phones

Please consider others and turn-off your mobile phone or switch to silent/vibrate for the duration of your class.

Grandparents and Adult Visitors

Visiting grandparents and other adult family members are welcome in our classroom subject to availability. Involvement by extended family members can enhance the experience for everyone. Please get in touch to notify us and check availability before bringing a visitor to class (particularly in the younger age-groups where the class dynamic can be delicate).

Parent Feedback

I value you and your ideas. Please help me to provide the best possible classroom experience for you and your child by providing me with feedback.

You can do this in several ways – please feel free to speak with me at any stage during the term or semester to let me know how you are doing or to raise any concerns you may have. You can also provide feedback via our Kindermusik online survey. During the course of your enrolment Kindermusik International will send you a brief survey – only 3 questions. Please take a moment to share your thoughts. Your time and input is appreciated.

Photos/Video and voice recording

We may sometimes take photos in class to include in class photo books or on our social media channels etc. We will also sometimes video and/or record the children’s voices/instrument play as part of in-class activities. We will never share these images or videos without your permission. Please let me know if you do not wish your child to be photographed and/or video recorded.

You are welcome to take photos of your own child during class and share at your own discretion, (I love to see your photos! Please tag me @Music2Grow), however, due to child protection policies and to honour the individual choices of others, please do not take photos that include other adults or children without their prior consent.

ENROL NOW

“We do a variety of classes per week and [my son’s] Kindermusik class is his favourite. It has been teaching him to focus and follow instructions and I see an improvement in him weekly. Our teacher is also fabulous and I love how the kids all gravitate to her. It’s a lovely environment.” – Victoria H. (Level 2 Music2Grow Parent)
