Music2Grow Playdate Classes for 2011

Music2Grow is continuing with its very popular Playdate Programme in 2011. Designed as a casual 40 minute class run during term time, each class includes a little singing, a little dancing, a little playing and a whole lot of learning fun!

Join us for a Playdate in Term 1 2011

Friday 11th March – 9.00am
Animal Babies – babies (newborn – 18 months) – In this adorable animal-themed class, we’ll engage in rituals and playful activities including infant massage, lap bounces, exercise, and quiet time as we introduce you to musical activities that help develop your baby’s physical, social, cognitive, and emotional skills.

Friday 18th March – 9.00am
Farmyard Fun!– toddlers & preschoolers (2 to 4 Years) – Take a trip with us to Grandpa’s farm as we sing songs and play games tucked into stories about animals on the farm.  This creative and active playdate is designed for youngsters on the go.  Bring your own stuffed animal friend with you.

Friday 25th March – 9.00am
It’s Your Lucky Day! – families
(newborn – 5 years) – a fun family music class with an Irish feel – singing, dancing , instrument play-alongs and activities for the whole family – this is a class where each child is welcomed and valued and family together-time is celebrated. Open to all families with children aged 0-5 years

Friday 1st April – 9.00am

Welcome to My House – toddlers (18 months – 3 years) – an ordinary day becomes a musical adventure with songs, rhymes & activities based around the themes of family and home.  Enjoy an engaging session of musical play that helps your toddler develop confidence, self-control, social & communication skills.

Music2Grow Playdates Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend a Playdate? Music2Grow playdates are about bringing families together in a joyful, inclusive, music-making session.  Classes are open to all families with children who fit the suggested age range for each class.

How much does a Playdate cost? Each Playdate is $15 per child, and includes a 40 minute class as well as a take-home kit for music fun at home. ($20 for families with 2-3 children attending a Family Playdate and siblings 12 months or under attend free).

Do I need to register? Yes, class sizes are limited so registering in advance is essential.  All bookings can be made via email or over the phone.  Make sure to have your correct class fee ready to pay, in cash, on the day.

Can I bring a sibling along to class? Babies young enough to be happily contained in a pram or carrier are welcome to come along at no extra charge. For those with two or more children and who are unable to organise care for younger siblings, the mulit-age “family” playdate is recommended.

How many children can I bring along by myself? Enrolled children may attend together with one carer for up to 3 children.

Do I get to join in the fun? Yes!  All classes are designed for children and parents to play and interact together.

How big will my class be? We try to keep our classes small, with a maximum of 10 children and their adults.

Can I come with a group? Yes the Music2Grow playdate is a great activity for playgroups or mums groups to enjoy together.  Please contact me to arrange a date to suit your group.
