With age-appropriate activities for newborns, infants and crawlers, this parent-child music and movement class will help you strengthen those early parent-child bonds, understand your baby’s development, and heavily focus on child development and communication with your baby. You and your baby will enjoy instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time—and you’ll get expert advice and parenting resources based on the most recent research in baby development.
Unit Theme 1) Rise & Shine
Good morning, sunshine–it’s time to start the day! Babies can start their days in all kinds of ways–but the way to make the most of mornings is to establish a loving, predictable, day-to-day pattern. Up and at ’em routines and rituals take center stage in Rise & Shine!
Class story: Wake Up!
Unit Theme 2) Nighty Night
The loving interactions that define your baby’s bedtime rituals are the inspiration for this unit. Enter the musical world of dreams and lullabies as we explore a variety of dreamy, playful and upbeat activities together. We’ll see the moon and the twinkling stars, and say hello to Wee Willie Winkie and the man in the moon! We’ll explore a huge range of baby safe instruments including baby bells, shakers, chime balls, clackers, scarves and drums. So, slip off your shoes, take a deep breath and share the ‘I love you’ of Nighty Night by saying, playing, listening and singing with your little one.

Kindermusik Sing & Play for Young Todders (1-2 years)
Get ready to sing, play, and move with your little one in this music class designed to be just right for your young toddler. This Kindermusik curriculum focuses on your child’s beginning movement, helping to build the muscles your young toddler needs to walk, run, and climb; and on vocal development, helping to nurture your child’s speaking and singing voice. With a mix of both parent-child joint activities and child-focused activities, you’ll be able to join right in with all the singing and dancing while also getting the chance to observe how your young toddler learns on his or her own. Explore all the fun of singing, swaying, laughing, and playing with your little one with just the right mix of early-childhood vocal play and language development, together time, and music and movement activities!
Unit Theme 1) I Can Do That!
There’s so much your little one still needs help with, but so many new things within their grasp! This delightful unit will help you to boost your child’s skills and confidence through a range of fun, musical, language enhancing activities. We’ll explore a range of age appropriate instruments including bells, drums, mini rainboshakers and scarves and introduce you to activities to support your young toddler’s growing body and mind network.
Class Story: Watch Me!
Unit Theme 2) Family All Around Me
For toddlers, “family” means everyone who loves them! Toddlers are surrounded by family members, friends, and other loving caregivers who look after them and shape their days. Family All Around Me celebrates these bonds and offers lots of opportunities for fun, connection, movement, and instrument play. A mix of parent-child joint activities and child-focused activities provide you with a unique opportunity to participate in all the music and movement fun, but also stand back, observe and revel in how your older baby and toddler is beginning to walk, talk, sing, play, tap and dance – all on their own!
Class Story: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
Kindermusik Wiggle & Grow for Toddlers (2 – 3 years)
This music-filled class celebrates the unique joys of your growing child. Each week your child will love singing, dancing, and playing instruments with you and her new friends and you’ll love helping her practice a wide variety of abilities such as gross and fine motor skills, turn-taking, social skills, and active listening. In class, we’ll also share tips and ideas for using music throughout the week. Plus, the fun (and learning!) continue with the Kindermusik@Home digital home materials, including music from class, musical activities, and each unit’s story.
Unit Theme 1) Silly All Over
Silly All Over explores your child’s emerging sense of humour, as well as focusing on inhibitory control, following directions and language & literacy. We will listen to silly sounds, move in silly ways and engage in musical activities that reflect the importance of movement in the life of your toddler. Children uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control, social and communications skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming, and object identification foster language skills, while creative movement develops a sense of balance, timing, and spatial awareness.
Class Story: 5 Little Monkeys
Unit Theme 2) Family & Friends
Family, friends and music, three of the things that bring joy to our lives come together in this delightful unit. Listening to Grandma and Grandpa on the phone, feeling the energy of the market with Mama Paquita and playing along with classic strains of Handel’s Rigaudon are just some of the activities leading us to explore social development and pattern recognition.
Class Story: Flip-Flap Sugar Snap
Kindermusik Laugh & Learn for Preschoolers (3-5 years)
Each week in class we combine your preschooler’s natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play with age-appropriate activities that introduce early music concepts and foster independence, social and emotional skills, language growth, and self-control. We also connect you with other parents who share in the wonder of parenting a preschooler. Parents join class for the final activities. The Kindermusik@Home digital home materials bring the music, activities, and each month’s story everywhere you go. The repetition enhances the learning—and the fun!
Unit Theme 1) Wild Animal Park
We meet many animals in the wild animal park as we hop like frogs and stomp like elephants, move slowly like a sloth and quickly like a monkey. We dance a Jungle Dance, Slither and Pounce, and do a Kangaroo Bounce. We go Moving in the Rainforest and travel with Tigers in the Snow and Jungle. We fly like birds through a World of Wonder and take a walk on the wild side as we focus on social and emotional development as well as the power of Kindermusik for your child’s brain development. We celebrate the joy of music with a Jungle Hokey Pokey and the beloved Kookaburra. We’re embarking on an adventure you won’t forget!
