Music2Grow Awarded Top Program Status for 2021-2022

I am very proud to announce that Music2Grow has been awarded Top Program status by Kindermusik International for the 6th year running. This award for excellence places our program in the top 200 Kindermusik programs worldwide, and in the top 10 for Australia, and recognises Music2Grow for exceptional service to our local community.

Thank you to all the wonderful families who have been part of our music classes since Music2Grow first opened its doors in 2009 – you are the heart and soul of what I do and the reason that Music2Grow is still here all these years later. I am so thankful for your continued support and proud of the joyful music-making community we have created for ourselves and our children, particularly through the many challenges of the past 2.5 years.

It is such a privilege to be able to share the joy of music and learning with young families on the Sunshine Coast – to witness musical skills blossom, learning skills develop and life-long friendships form. I love the warmth and community of our small-group classes and the way the Kindermusik curriculum supports parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.

A big thank you also to my wonderful venues – the Goodlife Centre, Noosa House of Dance and the Cooroy QCWA – who hire out their beautiful spaces for our classes and have been so welcoming and supportive of my business over the years – as well as understanding and flexible when plans have changed at the last minute – as they have, more often than I’d like, recently!

I first discovered the joy and magic of the Kindermusik curriculum in 2001 when I attended classes with my firstborn and I will be forever grateful to the friends who encouraged me to join that first class and then later on, complete Kindermusik training. I am thankful also for my wonderful Kindermusik friends and colleagues who have mentored and supported me along the way; and to my long-suffering family who have been living and breathing Kindermusik with me (and in the case of my children, until they aged out – doing Kindermusik with me) since I first began teaching in 2003 – yes, they do pretty much know ALL the Kindermusik songs!

I am also very thankful to Kindermusik International for their wonderful, world-class music and movement curriculum which I have been accredited to teach since 2003. I love how the curriculum is research-based and continually updated to reflect current music and early childhood education best practice. Every song, dance and activity is carefully considered for each age-group which allows me to focus on teaching and connecting with my families and finding the joy in what I do – it really is the best job.
