We began a new unit of ABC Music & Me at Kin Kin Playgroup today. “Silly All Over” explores your child’s emerging sense of humour, as well as focusing on inhibitory control, following directions and language & literacy.

Getting Ready for Preschool is Child’s Play!
Families who attend Kindermusik classes at Music2Grow will see the benefits to their children both now and in years to come. Kindermusik programmes promote the development of important school-readiness skills – including listening and attention skills, inhibitory control, self-confidence, reading-readiness, language development, self-motivation, physical coordination, social skills and cognitive reasoning. Activities are undertaken in a safe class environment with parents present and involved.

There were smiles, giggles and plenty of singing at Kin Kin Playgroup this month as we continued with our theme of “Around The Farm”.
When Can We Start Music?
“Whether your child takes a music appreciation class or starts actual lessons, she’ll benefit mightily from being exposed to music. Kids can start formal music training as early as age 3, when brain circuits for learning music mature. In fact, studies at the University of California suggest that taking music lessons at age 3 can increase your child’s brainpower.”
