Specialist Music Classes for the Early Learning Centre

ABC Music & Me is an award-winning music & movement enrichment program for children ages 2 to 6 created by Kindermusik International and designed specifically for the early childhood learning center. Small-group classes held at the centre create a musical learning environment that is active, engaging and developmentally appropriate. Weekly lessons based around exciting monthly themes will engage your child in dancing, singing, instrument play and literature.

Music for Enjoyment – Music for Life

Exposure to live music (as opposed to the recorded music we most often listen to on our home stereos, ipods and car radios) is a multi-sensory experience. We see the instruments, hear the new sounds. We interact in a much more immediate way – experiencing a new place, new faces and sharing the experience and pleasure of music as a living, breathing event.*

Getting Ready for Preschool is Child’s Play!

Families who attend Kindermusik classes at Music2Grow will see the benefits to their children both now and in years to come. Kindermusik programmes promote the development of important school-readiness skills – including listening and attention skills, inhibitory control, self-confidence, reading-readiness, language development, self-motivation, physical coordination, social skills and cognitive reasoning. Activities are undertaken in a safe class environment with parents present and involved.

There was laughter and giggles aplenty this week at Music2Grow as Village Babies and their parents danced and high-fived their way through “Kerry’s Ten-Penny Wash” and Our Time toddlers bounced and bumped along to “Bazoo, Bazoo, Butz”. When Can We Start Music?

“Whether your child takes a music appreciation class or starts actual lessons, she’ll benefit mightily from being exposed to music. Kids can start formal music training as early as age 3, when brain circuits for learning music mature. In fact, studies at the University of California suggest that taking music lessons at age 3 can increase your child’s brainpower.”
